# How to use Otomate?

Otomate is powered by Ink.

All execution and settlement happens on Ink.\\

\
If your funds are not on Ink yet, you need to bridge first.\
\
\\

\
Getting started
Otomate lets you automate execution on on-chain perpetual markets.

You don’t trade manually — you set once, execution runs in the background.
#### Step 1 — Connect your wallet

* Connect your wallet to Otomate
* Otomate is non-custodial
* All actions require explicit wallet signatures

\
Your funds remain in your Nado sub-account at all times.
#### Step 2 — Choose how you want to participate
Otomate offers multiple automation modes depending on your objective, click on one of the three choice.
**1. Follow traders (Copy Trading)**

* Select a top on-chain trader
* Otomate replicates their exposure automatically
* Execution happens on your own Nado sub-account
* You can past direclty an trader's adresse to follow him
Best for users seeking directional exposure without trading manually.\
***

**2. Automated activity strategies (Market Making / Volume)**

* Non-directional execution strategies
* Designed to generate sustained on-chain activity
* No market timing required
These strategies are not designed to maximize PnL,

but to automate activity and optimize participation and volume.

**3. Delta Neutral strategies (Vaults)**

* Market-neutral positioning
* Funding + activity generation
* Exposure designed to limit directional risk
Best for users looking for automation + stability + incentives.\
Otomate requires a small number of on-chain signatures to authorize execution.

These signatures do NOT give Otomate custody of your funds.\
They only authorize smart contract interactions on Ink.
\
A second signature is required to authorize automated execution.

This allows Otomate to execute trades on your behalf\
based on the selected trader exposure.
Do not close the page during this step.
\
When authorization is complete, Otomate is ready to operate.\
#### Step 4 — Let automation run
Once activated:

* Execution runs automatically
* Orders are placed on Nado
* Activity is settled on Ink
No manual trading required.
